Working :- Battery operated
- Having Auto power off function in which the timer operates automatically about three to five minutes after pressing the on/off button
- Timers on button are pressed together, which will keep the test on for about three to five minutes
- Auto power is switched off automatically with Data hold function
- Before starting each measurement, the equipment will check that conditions are within appropriate limits and will notify the operator in case any abnormality turns up
- Then, it will look for the most suitable range and show measurement results in an alphanumeric display
How it Works :- The instrument is to be connected to the three earthing rods with the help of the leads
- Red terminal (E2) is connected to the far Electrode (30 / 60 meters)
- Green (P2) is connected to the Middle Electrode at (20 meters) & Black (E1 & P1) to the earth rod
- Set range switch in position 1000
- Press TEST switch & note the reading
- Remove the red banana plug and note the reading
- The difference of the above two readings is the earth resistance
- Connect the instrument to mains using the Adopter provided when LO BAT appears on the display
